Roast the Garlic:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Slice off the top 1/4 inch of the whole garlic head to expose the tops of the cloves.
Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, wrap tightly in aluminum foil, and bake for 35–40 minutes until the cloves are golden and completely tender. Let cool slightly.
Make the Garlic Butter Spread:
Squeeze the warm, soft garlic cloves out of their skins into a small bowl.
Mash the cloves into a smooth paste using a fork.
Add the softened butter, remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, chopped parsley, sea salt, black pepper, and grated cheese. Mix thoroughly until fully incorporated.
Assemble the Bread:
Place the bread halves cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves, making sure to coat right to the edges.
Bake to Crisp:
Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
(Optional for extra crunch): Switch to the oven broiler on High for 1–2 minutes until the top is bubbling and lightly toasted (watch closely so it doesn't burn).
Serve:
Let rest for 2 minutes, slice into 2-inch pieces, and serve warm.
RanaFarms Note :
Tip: Hardneck garlic cloves are naturally larger and richer in natural sugars than standard grocery store garlic, which makes them caramelize beautifully when roasted without turning bitter.
